Day Charters

Spending some time ashore in the BVI and fancy a trip to one of the other British Virgin Islands?

Virgin Traders are happy to announce the introduction of private day charters aboard one of their Horizon 56 yachts for up to 10 guests.

We have various day trips to ensure you get to see one of the highlights of the BVI – if you have an alternative trip in mind, please don’t hesitate to contact us and let’s see what we can arrange.

Ideally we need at least 3 days notice to organize your special day, we can take enquires up to 6 months in advance, and closer to your trip will be able to confirm availability.

The cost for your private day charter is $3000; this includes yacht and dinghy, qualified skipper and mate reasonable fuel and beach towels.

Your charter leaves Nanny Cay at 8.30 in the morning and returns at 4.30. We can arrange taxi transport from your hotel or villa to Nanny Cay if you wish.

If you are staying on one of the other BV Islands not a problem, we will leave Nanny Cay at 8.30 and head to a convenient pick up location, your drop off time will enable us to be back at Nanny Cay for 4.30.

This is a private charter and it is totally up to you whether you travel alone, as a couple, group of friends or family.

You may wish to bring along a picnic or stop at a restaurant for lunch. If you would like us to put you in contact with a caterer or drinks provider, please let us know.

Snorkel gear is not included but can be arranged, please let us know.

Please note that dockage is not included and will need to be covered by the client directly to the dock master if it is incurred.

These tours are all weather dependent; if Virgin Traders decide that the weather is not conducive to a good day out we will aim to reschedule your charter if possible.

Hop onboard for your chance to visit the beautiful island of Virgin Gorda

Your trip will begin with a stop at the Baths where you can explore the myriad of caves and lagoons in this magnificent national park.

Jump back onboard for a trip to the Dogs for a spot of snorkeling, then it’s round to North Sound where you can spend the afternoon sunbathing onboard or take the dinghy and visit the Bitter End, Saba Rock or Leverick Bay before a steady cruise back to Nanny Cay.

Take a trip to the famous island of Jost Van Dyke

Here you can walk the trail to the bubbling pools and jump into this natural Jacuzzi and then stop off on Green Cay, perfect for those desert island photos. Then take a trip into Great Harbour to have a drink at the world famous Foxy’s or into White Bay and the Soggy Dollar and Ivan’s stress free bar – as the sign says ‘no shirt, no shoes, no problem’

Visit the original ‘Treasure Island’ with your adventure to Norman Island

Jump aboard for a trip to the Indians for a snorkel around the rock pillars. Then over to the caves to search for Blackbeard the Pirates lost treasure. We will then moor in the Bight where you may choose to visit the Willy T a floating bar and restaurant or ashore to Pirates where you can while the afternoon away sipping cocktails on the beach.
